Due to the wrangling over the protection of High Definition content, the major broadcast networks have decided to eliminate all High Definition Broadcasting effective immediately.  All current DTV stations will run stretched 480i programming with many squeezing in 6 or more SD programs per channel.

This is a major blow to owners of High Resolution TV's.
