Fcc Reverses Decision

The FCC today under pressure from Sinclair Broadcasting reversed it's position on COFDM transmissions.  There is no longer an 8VSB standard as either format may be used.  The FCC decided to let the marketplace determine the better format and is allowing broadcasters to use either format.

(This will render all current receivers obsolete as all current DTV receivers are only capable of the 8VSB transmissions.)
