Tech issues with new Mits 55711

I finally decided on the new RPTV I wanted.  I got my new Mits WS-55711 delivered yesterday afternoon.  Unfortunately the guys from the store delivered it before my TWC HD box got here, cuz the guy was late.

Thankfully the guys who delivered the TV walked me through exactly what the TWC guy should do, so I knew what to expect.  Well the box arrived and got set up into my Comp2 inputs.  But the screen was "scrambled".  The best way I can explain what it looks like is similar to "old time" cable when you weren't subscribed to a channel but could tell it was there.  The screen is just scrambeld.  :bang:

I exchanged cable HD boxes, thinking that was the problem, since the TWC obviously didn't want to troubleshoot the issue.  The new box does the same thing.  I've swapped my DVD player into the Comp2 inputs to verify they work, and they do.

Does anyone else here have any answers to this problem?  I'm getting contacted by both my TV retailer, whom I trust, and TWC today to troubleshoot the issue.  Figured someone may have had the same problem.

I also haven't been able to pick up any OTA channels.  My apt building has a roof antenna that we plug a coax cable into to use.  Yet it didn't pick anything up last night.

Thanks for the help

First of all, nice choice!  I also took the plunge recently and picked me up a 55511.  It's a wonderful piece of equipment!

Now I don't know about your "scrambling" issue with your comp inputs because I have standard cable and don't need a box, but i may be able to help with your OTA problem.  I would assume your talking your DTV coax input and not the Analog.   In either case you're going to have to scan on that input for channels.  Go to the "antenna" setup menu and select the DTV input and hit the enter button.  This will scan and should get you your channels.  I couldn't image you wouldn't get at least 1 or 2 channels living in bayside.  If not I'd investigate on how that rooftop is setup.

If you've already done that and I'm just stating the obvious, then I'm sorry, at least I tried :p  Good luck!
