Looking for Direct View HDTV Set

I am looking for a direct view HDTV ready smaller than 30" size but  with wide screen(16x9) form factor.  I have searched and found a few 30" sets but nothing smaller. There are some LCD sets with wide screen form factor but the cost is too prohibitive. If any one has any ideas please let me know.
