Well, here's my first try at this.  I took all the data that was posted regarding reception and created a map of Milwaukee with the general location of reception reports and color coded them as to whether indoor or rooftop antenna.  I did CBS 46 first because it is at lower power.  Not enough data points to be comprehensive and topography is not factored in.  Your mileage may vary, void where prohibited.

Blue is for indoor antennas, Red is for outdoor antennas.

And now I see that the outer circle needs to be expanded.  Missed that!  I'll fix it later....

This is very timely for me, thank you.

Is this to say I won't get CBS in Keno county? I'm thinking of getting an outdoor UHF antenna hoping to pick up UHF DT from Chicago and Milwaukee. If I do that, since CBS in Chicago is VHF, I was counting on CBS out of Milwaukee.

Looks like that's not going to happen?!?!

Thanks again,

Doug

I would say you need to try it.  At one point last year, when they first went on the air there was someone in northern IL watching.  Many things can factor reception.  The height of the antenna, Ground elevation, objects in the way, dense trees and type of antenna.  The best suggestion is to use a quality antenna and RG-6 cable.  You may want to look at a map and see if there are any large building in the way.  Their transmitter is located at Green Bay ave Villard Ave.  I hope this helps.

I live in Rochester which is on the line.
Anyway, with my outdoor antenna, I get a 94 signal strength on 46.
