--Over-the-Air DTV Signals in Markets that Include Over 97% of TV Homes--

WASHINGTON, DC - The National Association of Broadcasters announced today that 21 more television stations have begun transmitting a digital signal, bringing the total number of stations broadcasting in digital to 768.

     Of the 21 new DTV stations (listed below), two are the first in their markets on air with DTV (marked with an *).

     DTV signals are now being transmitted in 184 markets that include 97.34% of U.S. TV households. In addition, 71.89% of the more than 106 million U.S. TV households are in markets with five or more broadcasters airing DTV and 36.55% are in markets with eight or more broadcasters sending digital signals.
