I still have the 2000HD box.  I've checked out the specs for both online, and I can't see that I'm missing out on anything by not having the 3100.  Has anyone out there used both and seen a big difference between the two?  If not, I'll probably just wait until TWC comes out with the next generation before I upgrade.

Actually, I'm doing the same.  The problem with the 2000-series boxes is that guide is slower and the relability of the boxes isn't nearly as good at the later ones.

If you don't have a problem with the box, I don't see any advantage to the newer box either.

I agree.  I have had both and if you are having reasonable luck with the 2000 you are not missing anything over the the 3100.  The 2000 I had was starting to crash every other time I'd use it, so I traded it in for the 3100.  An advantage of the the 2000 is it can be switched to output RGB.  This gave me another input.  I have had to add a component switcher to hook up a DVD player, HD cable and Xbox.
