Time out part II
At least now I have three posts.  I hit ENTER once too often.         I know John works  for Flanner but it must have been a long day.
JEFF BURBACK does Flanners' dish installs.
LARRY FROM Kemmer does a lot of their antenna (OTA) installs.  Jeff's number is 1-414-645-2575
Kemmers' is 1-262-246-6495  Call Jeff for any dish questions.

If you want to get the sat C kit go to Marmax on Rawson (about 60th).  They have them in stock and about $50.  Give them a call and ask for the current price.  They stock channelmaster UHF antennas to.  I got my 4 bay from them for about $40.

Good Luck!

just a FYI to further your knowledge about the sat C kit.  The LNB that comes with it is different than the LNBs used for the original 101 and 119 satellites.  The 3rd satellite uses higher frequencies.  Part of the reason is  to not interfere with the Dish satellite in the same orbital position.

So while troubleshooting- you can't swap around the sat C LNB with the other two, it won't work.

Also I just moved,  I took my dish with me.   I have an oblong dish.  It took me quite awhile to find the satellites.  The heading according to the setup is 207 degrees,  the direction the dish appears to face is about 190.  I was looking at the wrong spot in the sky.  I also had trees in the way that I didn't think where anywhere close to being a problem.

As a person who finds any of 15 satellites a day for a living, I found the experience very humiliating.  (I couldn't show guests my satellite channels the night of the superbowl, only the double-bow tie was set up in time.)  I guess my 2.4 meter dish on my satellite truck with 50 db of gain and a spectrum monitor helps quite a bit.

I ended up dragging a small tv outside and peaked up the dish with a view of the screen.

Good luck.

I had also subscribed to SHow HD and needed the "Sat C" kit.
I called Direct TV and spoke with their customer retention people and they sent me the whole Sat C kit for ~$8.08 (Shipping Cost)
It took about 3 days to get here and I installed it in about
15 Min.
It is alot cheaper than the $50.
