It has been confirmed that IN DEMAND: comcast and time warner cable is offering the NBA ALL STAR GAME in HDTV. I was wondering if us wisconsin people will be getting it or have the option to get it?
I called TWC, but i talked to a clueless CSR.

Anyone know?

thanks

I can't speak to cable, but the All-Star game will be on channel 198 (the HD PPV channel) on DirecTv free of charge. I am sure Time Warner will carry this  as well.

What is on channel 503 usually?

It usually can not even be tuned to... blank.

TWC picked an open channel, 503, and quickly assigned NBA.TV's HD programming.

Given their quick action, and availability of many open digital channel numbers, this COULD bode well for future special HDTV events on cable, as well as permanent HDTV channels (ESPN-HD) being added SPEEDILY to TWC!

Good job TWC!  I hope your crew is reading this thread

Now here's to hoping that this propagates to Kenosha as well. Good job TWC. You have impressed me somewhat over the last couple of months.

Clarification:  This HD event is not NBA TV's HD, it's a feed provided by an agreement with TNT.  503 will only be available for the weekend, and then go dark again (or completely un-tunable).  This feed will propagate to all of TW customers with an HD set top, as will virtually all future HD programming (anyone see a slight disclaimer there?) offers.
