Problems w/ TWC HD channels!

I just had a Hitachi 57XWX delivered today and hooked it up to my TWC using the SA3100HD box.  Out of all of the HD channels available, the only one that came in consistently was CBS.  I called TW and was told that they were having problems w/ the HD service at this time and it would be fixed soon.  I'm wondering, is this a problem w/ the power of my signal and would a cable amplifier help?  Also, anyone know when/if TW will start using the SA4200HD boxes?

I picked up a $40 indoor antenna from CC just in case for the Superbowl tomorrow if TWC doesn't come through but my signal through the antenna is horrendous.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!  Btw, I live in Franklin, 53132 zip...no idea how far I am from the broadcoast towers.

This sounds exactly like my problem. My signal is more than adequate yet two weeks from Friday all went haywire. Now even my digital channels don't work half the time. 505 functions nearly to perfection while everything else is pixelating. The other channels worked earlier today for a brief peroid. However, when I tried again tonight it was clear that the problems were occuring again.

Hrm, maybe the phone rep was right...I woke up this morning and tried them and all the HD channels are coming in perfectly.  Time to return the antenna.  Btw, the signal for the SD channels is absolutely horrendous now with the SA3100HD box...but I'm only running the video through component outputs, should I add an S-video output to a different input on the TV and switch inputs when I want to watch HD vs. SD shows?

The digital channels (100 and higher) should look alright with component.  You do need to use s-video or even composit for the analog stations (1-99).

Well, my HD channels stopped working so I went to Radio Shack and picked up a cable amplifier (and an S-video cable).  Well, I tried the cable amp with the coax hooked up to one of Flanner's jacks and nada...so I hooked it up to one of the original coax jacks and finally got the HD signal back w/ the amp on.  My TWC signal must be so weak that the degradation of being routed through the box in my garage and back through Flanner's jacks is too much to even amplify.  Very annoying.  The TWC is coming Monday, not sure what he can do as far as getting me a stronger signal into the condo.  Oh, the SD channels look better through the S-video but still not as good as they did at my old apartment in Milwaukee.  Oh well, at least I have a makeshift working situation to watch the Superbowl in HD today. :bang:

Oh, on a better note, I love my new Hitachi 57XWX!  Got a great deal on it from CC on 76th (bought it on Thurs, delivered yesterday).  Was pondering a Grand Wega 50" or Samsung DLP but after reading about so many so-so reviews I decided to go w/ a high quality CRT for my RPTV...maybe in a few years when the technology matures I may go for a DLP RPTV or LCoS...or plasma when the pricing drops.

I am having the same issues. See other thread about amplifiers!  TWC is making trip 3 with a supervisor on thursday, so we will see.......
