This ABC movie on Madison WKOW had to be about the best HD transfer of a movie yet.  Having had HDTV for 2 years now, and using HDNet as a reference, my wife and I have become a little jaded about so called HD content
We were both very impressed with the video, while the audio was 5.1, it did lack a little in the bass.
Keep up the good work.

One question and one observation.

First, was it by chance in OAR? I know ABC is mostly miss but sometimes hit with this.. Just curious.

Second, I would imagine it was the original DD track. Movie studios have been good about passing through the DD track on all transfers to digial medias. I remember when DirecTV first went with Dolby Digital and all of the tests reviewers did showed they were passing the same track through from the DVD, which in turn was the same track used in the theaters. Actually, movie studios have been doing this since laserdisc when the DD track from the theaters would then be included on the laserdisc... Now if only I could justify spending $150 on an outboard RF demodulator solely to hear my Star Wars SE Trilogy in DD5.1 :(

I am not sure about Madison...but here it was 16:9 and the DD 5.1 soundtrack was excellent...mucho bass! I do not know what the OAR of The Rock is, but it definitely was either 1.85:1, or 1.77:1 or plain old 16:9.
Just checked IMDB and The Rock is a 2.35:1 AR so no it wasn't in OAR. I hope that this is not the start of a disturbing trend.
