New Time Warner Channels??

I recently asked TWC if they could indicate on their online program guide if a channel is broadcast in HDTV format. This is their response:

I have received your email to Time Warner Cable regarding your suggestion to improve our local website with channel guide information. Thank you for this suggestion. I have forwarded your comments to our Website Development Team for consideration in making the necessary changes. Please note that channel we do not broadcast in HDTV format will not be able to be viewed in this format. Please see the listing of HDTV channels below that Time Warner currently offers. As new channels become availible, we would be more than happy to inform our customers.

I don't know about any one else but I do not receive any channels past 512 in HD. Is this guy correct?

I'm not a TWC customer..but it looks like those channels are ones that are from digital sources (ie;  all the MPTV are the multicasting and WMLW41 is taken off the air from 1-2).

At least that's what it sounds like to me.

The only channels that contain HDTV content are:

500 HBO HDTV
501 Showtime HDTV
504 WTMJ HDTV
505 CBS HDTV
510 WMVS HDTV
512 WISN HDTV

The other channels are digital OTA channels that are multicast.  For a while TW were mistakenly classifying these as HDTV on their website.

We pointed it out to them and their website was corrected.

Unfortunately it appears that not all their Customer Service people were informed.

haha.. you make it sound like it's not a common occurance for their CSR's to be mis/uninformed.
