Does this mean multicast will die today???

Update: Make that "later." 505 does not exist. I reset my box and it still doesn't appear.

Now?
It's on?  Or sunday?

Does anyone know if Survivoir is filmed in HD?

I am realy glad I wen't with the cable, I watch a movie on HBO or Showtime almost every night, plus lots of the network stuff available. Now, if we can do something about UPN, I would like to see StarTrek and the Twilight Zone reruns this summer in HD.
:D

The email I got from Jim this afternoon said it starts at 3:00 PM today... can anyone verify that it launched without any hitches?

Unfortunately Survivor has never been in HD, and there has been no indication that that will change for this new season.

It hasn't launched yet.

Right now, I hear Dr. -blip- Phil -blip- is -blip-

Is there a fix to the TWC local issue yet as in new cable boxes? Good news for the fiber hookup and listening to complaints. Hopefully, they solve the the audio issue before they get complaints on Superbowl Sunday.

Thanks to CBS58 for all the great programming you've offered since BEFORE 5/1/02 and getting TWC to finally allow a fiber hookup.

Thanks for the announcement Tom!
Jim Hall has come through for the cable crowd.
Can't wait for the Final Four in HD.

Tom Snyder

Jim is hoping to be here again at the forums tonight to get feedback and address a few issues. Not a live chat, but he'll be reading what's here and posting.

Is that in Racine also?
or just Milwaukee!

I just had my girlfriend check, no channel 505.

Joseph S

It is working now.

Ch 510 looks like a disaster though. The signal won't stay for a full second. All the non HDs are fine except for 512's audio blips.

If TWC is reading, there is no problem with ShoHD or HBOHD only the local HD broadcasts and ABC.

Confirmed!  Just got TWC-DC "installed".  The installer was flipping through the 500's and I thought I caught a 505 WDJT-DT in there.  Seems to be coming through fine as far as I can tell.  No HD programming on that channel yet, just the news.

Woohoo!

Thank you so much TWC and CBS-58!  I pumped to see the AFC championship game in HD!

sp44again

It's working but won't be able to test it til 7 when a HD show is on.

joetwc727

all my hd channells on twc working fine, cbs is there, and waiting till a true hd program comes on. as far as some saying that the ota hd signal looking better than twc's. I have both, although I should say "had" both since I'm returning my ota right now.  As far as picture quality, I see no difference. :)

Joseph S

Quoteall my hd channells on twc working fine

Really? All of my PBS 500s 510, 550+ are going haywire still. How old is your 3100HD box? The rest of the stations are unchanged.

Just checked mine and 505 is alive and well and no problems with any other HDTV channels (sound pops aside :bang: )

Incidentally, I notice that CBS58 (505) has the pound pops the same as 504 and 510.  All these channels are local fiber fed channels where as WISN (512) is not.  I notice a trend here. (EDIT 1/18/03: Jim Hall states that CBS is not fed via fiber, so no trend afterall... )

If you get similar sound pops on the digital audio output only (it does not happen on the analog output) let me know and I will interface with the TW head end engineer.
