The December issue of the BRIDGE takes a look at HDTV, and what programmers, cable and satellite TV providers, electronics manufacturers, and - most importantly - viewers expect from the emerging TV technology.

The publication has the latest viewer projections for HDTV, what type of consumer will likely get high-def, and what consumers know about the offering.

The BRIDGE also has details on CTAM research that studies whether consumers are confused about the TV technology. The study says nearly 50 percent of respondents that CTAM surveyed don't know how they can get HDTV. Most cable subscribers surveyed (51.1 percent) appear to be in the dark about HDTV delivery, while satellite TV subscribers appear to be in-the-know (40.8 percent don't know how to get HD), CTAM said.
