TWC New Package Names 2013

I received a little pamphlet in the mail with my monthly statement that in the fine print tells the different package names.

To the best of my knowledge, this is what they contain:  Please add to the thread to amend it with any updated information:

Starter TV
-Basic Commercial Networks like you would get with an antenna.  (Channels 2-25 here  in Wisconsin) and a few government and religious channels.  one on channel 77 and a few on 95-99.  The lowest level of any service.

Standard TV- (2-99)  Formerly Standard Cable.  All Channels 2-99 in most markets and their HD counterparts.

Digital Variety Pass: (100+  Almost all main Digital Channels.)  Included with Triple Play Packages.  Best overall channel selection value.

Digital Sports Pass- An optional package of about 15-20 sports channels and some sister channels of a few stations on Standard TV, such as additional ESPN networks not offered on the other levels of service.

Digital Movie Pass- A Premium Movie Channel with about seven Encore Channel Stations and a few additional movie channels.

Digital Variety Pass Plus:
(Formerly Digital Choice.)- An optional package.  It appears that Digital Choice in Wisconsin has been dropped as an optional add with any level of Digital Service.  Instead, subs must take the Digital Variety Pass and Variety Plus appears to simply add about six channels to the existing Digital Variety Package.

I have always believed that Digital Choice, having another $5.00 charge for only six channels represents the LEAST value of the cable package levels.  Maybe now that it has been paired with Digital Variety Pass, there might be more appeal for this level of service.

I think that Digital Variety Pass represents TWC's best cable TV overall value.

It's interesting that even TWC can't keep their package names straight. On their website, what is described as "digital variety pass" here appears to be referred to as "Preferred TV."
